I was so excited for my appointment but left bitterly disappointed. I have been natural for a long time, but last year I did a big chop as my hair texture changed and became dry - but not breaking. After I cut it, I realised that it was menopausal and after a while my hair returned to normal and I steadily grew it back (regretting the big chop). Since cutting it, I have had 5 trims - the last one at Adornment 365. Judge for yourself in the attached photos if anyone would call that a trim for hair that is not damaged. The hairdresser confirmed my hair was not breaking and cut off the smallest amount, maybe 0.5cm) of my hair and asked if I was happy with that. I agreed and said that my hair is uneven because I had cut it myself, but I did not want short hair because my husband doesn't really like it on me. She replied, "He must take what he gets". I said I don't have a problem with him telling me that because when we met I wore a big afro and it was our thing. But when I got home, he really had to take what he got! I didn't even realise how short my hair was, I thought it was just shrunken. Otherwise the hair care that I received was good - but trust me, I will never put my foot back there again. BE WARNED!
