Every time that we are in London, we travel down to Greenwich to have lunch at Goddard’s. We take the River Bus (Uber Boat by Thames Clippers) from Embankment pier to Greenwich pier. It is just a short walk from pier to Goddard’s. We usually go later to miss the lunch rush. Take some time to look at the menu before queuing at the counter - it can be found on their website: https://www.goddardsatgreenwich.co.uk/our-menu/ The staff is always helpful and kind. The pies and mash are excellent. The dessert pies are wonderful, as well. We always purchase a bottle of their chili vinegar to take home with us. NEVER DISAPPOINTS! 😊

Honestly, blown away! I would visit here so much if I lived nearby, and I will visit here every time I am traveling south from now on! I recommend it to anybody! So refreshing to find real English food in London. I tried the Pie and Mash and Jellied Eels just because that's the real local London food before it became colonised. It was great. The pie was a bid-bland, but for the price and size was still worth it. And the Jellied Eels... Amazing. I don't even like fish food. I've heard bad things about Jellied Eels as an example of "bad" British food. But that is just an online psyop. They were really good and I could eat them as a meal. This place is also so cheap! £1 for a tea? £6 for a meal? Just incredible. It's clean. Staff are proper Cockneys (the only ones I met in London). And the food is quickly served. This is one of my favorite places!!!! It's like a last remnant of real London. Visit here while you can! Sadly, the pies are too bland and they need to add better sauce or meat. Stick to the jellied eels.
