Le Delice

As a French person I was excited to try this place but sadly I found the food very overpriced and lacking flavour and quality. I tried a panini (£6.35 for a ham and cheese panini that lacked flavour and toppings and was lukewarm), a chicken sandwich (also expensive and very dry, no sauce and not many toppings) and some of the baked goods (those tasted nice, except for the croissant which was dry, but were also overpriced in my opinion). I didn’t like the sourdough bread I tried either as it didn’t taste very fresh. Staff are nice but service is quite slow. Overall I was left disappointed and feeling like I’m paying high prices for the ‘French vibes’ of the place without any of the quality. I would have paid similar prices at Gail’s and probably enjoyed the food more! A real shame

Used to come here for crepes regularly. Usually a crepe is circle-shaped, folded in quarters. This time I got only half that circle, a semicircle chocolate crepe folded in two. Shrinkflation is biting deeply dlthis year. I asked the waiter what happened and was told to 'ask that lady, she knows crepes' pointing to the counter. The earl grey was ok.

I've often enjoyed visiting Le Delicé, especially for solo dates and getting work done. There's a good amount of seating available inside and a few options outside, the only downside is how cramped it can feel when it's full. The menu is varied and you can find something that suits must people, and I appreciate it being halal.

Visiting London from Glasgow recently I enjoyed a nice late lunch here which comprised a toasted panini with tomato, basil and mozzarella with an espresso. Quick service despite being busy; the food was very nice and I liked that it was served with some dressed leaves on the side to optionally add on. The coffee is good and the vibe and atmosphere is really pleasant. The cafe is ideally placed to relax handily before catching a fast train to the city at the station adjacent.
