Metropolis Karaoke Bar

I’ve gone a few times and was really starting to like the place. I was there last Saturday and it was very busy. I got to chatting with the bartender Terri. She told me I should come on Fridays, and that it was dead last night. I said great, I’ll come next Friday then. So tonight I get an uber, go all the way down just to get turned away for a private event. (Also the only time that security guard ever smiled at us. Every other time we got stern looks. Glad he enjoyed sending us away) Went next door for a drink and decided to call because I’d come all the way down for nothing at the fault the bartender. They offered two free drinks. Great. Very nice. I’ll come tomorrow then. After, we headed back and passed the metropolis where Terri and two guards were standing outside. She gaslit me in front of them saying it wasn’t her and must have been the DJ Sam. Nice try, I have an idyllic memory. I can recall exactly what she was wearing and what she said and what she was doing. She even forgot to charge me for my drink but I’m honest. I will not be attending this establishment anymore. Clearly there is cherry picking at the door and untrustworthy staff if she’s willing to blatantly lie in front of my face. Shame I did like the place.

Popped in on Friday from opening and stayed past midnight. Great vibes, welcoming friendly atmosphere. DJ is amazing, Karaoke selection was extensive and everyone gets the chance to sing if they want to but can just enjoy the atmosphere and music if not. Happy hour for the first hour provides some great deals and still not overpriced after that. The pre paid cards are genius! Great selection of drinks available and their know how to make cocktails! Bouncer on the door makes sure everyone is safe and will have a chat if your outside vaping alone. Wonderful night. One of the best nights out we have had in ages. Will definitely be going back and couldn't recommend enough.

Kel is great bar lady, she remembered my regular order. Great customer service. I dropped money at the bar and Jo saw it and gave the money back to me. Good honest hardworking people are rare. Thank you for a great night
