These guys have really looked after me as I go into old age. For example, when I was feeling giddy whenever I stood up Fasoya, the pharmacist, put a gadget on my arm that took my blood pressure every hour, then emailed my GP who gave me an urgent appointment because of the data Fasoya had given him. If I'd have gone direct to the GP I would probably have waited weeks. This is not the only time they've helped me out - they do it time after time. We're lucky to have them in our community. Pharmacists can give advice on a lot of issues and these days they can prescribe some drugs such as simple anti-biotics. Given how hard it is to get a GP appointment why not ask the pharmacist here for advice? There is a private booth you can both go to to explain your symptoms. Other people have posted reviews here whining about difficulties getting their prescriptions. I ask my GP to repeat my tablets on the NHS site and check a couple of days later that he has approved them. They are always waiting for me when I go to collect them - and remarkably, they know my name and recognise me! I was in my prime long before computers came along, so if I can do this, so can anyone. To make this work you need to "nominate" this pharmacy on the NHS app or site as the one where your prescriptions will go. From then onwards all your prescriptions will go electronically straight from the GP to this chemist. All you have to do is collect the medicine, perhaps phoning first to check. The Post Office never seems to have a queue whenever I go there, and the staff are always helpful.
I am so grateful that this is my local pharmacy. The staff are efficient, very knowledgeable, kind and friendly. The pharmacist knows his stuff and advises with a lot of care, really listening and ensuring you get the best advice and service possible. They are the epitome of professionalism.
More important than my GP. An integral part of our community. Dedicated. Professional. Friendly. I always forgot to order my meds. I explained previously to the guys that I struggle with the app and forget. They had my back when I thought I was going to go a few days without. My Heroes ❤️🙏 A Chemist has stepped up and provided a service much needed by their core customer base. They have taken on this responsibility despite the despicable way post masters have been treated historically. It is amazing we have these wonderful people looking after us. I find them friendly and professional. They are not postal staff and you are privileged to have the service provided at your local chemist. Pull your neck in and have some respect.
