Rowlands Pharmacy Lewisham Hospital

Extremely Slow and Frustrating Experience I had a terrible experience at the Rowlands pharmacy inside University Hospital Lewisham. To collect just one medicine, I ended up waiting almost 45 minutes, even though there was no real queue. What made it worse was that the staff looked completely unbothered by the delay. People inside were moving at their own pace, chatting and taking their time while patients were left waiting. There was no sense of urgency or consideration for people who are already in a hospital setting. This level of service is unacceptable. If you need medication quickly, be prepared for a long, unnecessary wait here. I hope they seriously improve their efficiency and attitude.

In 2025 is sad that there is no accountability... Such an important service and so poor service. The lady (very polite I have to say) was already late. Then tell us she can't let anyone enter because she is alone... I came from quite far for nothing and I need my medicines... I will have to miss work during the week to collect... Who's going to pay for that? Very sad.

This must rank as the most wasteful and poorly organised pharmacy in the NHS. 8 members of staff, 1 person working hard at the front. 7 members seemly chatting and wandering around slowly. Net result massive queues of patients waiting to hand over their prescriptions, or waiting to collect. For me, my prescription that the consultant asked me to collect today, had not been dispensed with a long wait until it was. Looking at past reviews this slow, inefficient work ethic has been like this for at least 6 months !!! (about the same time it takes to collect a prescription here) With the manager not changing or doing anything about it. That is even more damming on this pharmacy. ps look out for the generic repeated response from the pharmacy.
