I had a very upsetting experience at the Bromley branch. After purchasing several items at the self-checkout, I picked up some tissue paper near the exit, assuming it was available for customers to use as gift-bag stuffing. There was no sign indicating otherwise. A staff member — a middle-aged woman — approached me abruptly and spoke to me in an unnecessarily rude manner, telling me I couldn’t take the paper. I immediately apologised and even offered to pay for it, but she refused and continued to be dismissive. What made the situation worse was her attitude and the way she looked at me, which made me feel singled out and judged. As an ethnic minority person, the interaction felt humiliating, and I left the store feeling embarrassed and deeply uncomfortable. Even when I thanked her out of politeness, she didn’t acknowledge it. I’ve shopped at Flying Tiger for years, but this experience has really put me off returning to the Bromley store. Staff should be trained in basic courtesy and awareness of unconscious bias so that customers aren’t made to feel disrespected or unfairly treated. This was a very disappointing visit.
Great shop just and absolute awful security guard who constantly intimidates people by following them based on appearance he also asked my sister what she put in her bag when she was taking out her purse please get rid of this man racial profiling in what is supposed to be a inclusive shop where everybody can feel safe this is gonna make the shop have a bad reputation and make a lot of people feel uncomfortable shopping there
the security guard is really disturbing by making really nasty looks and keep asking people if theyre stealing even though they clearly arent. overall the shop is nice its just the security guard makes everything a worse shopping experience.
An ok shop except for an absolutely terrible security guard who follows everyone for if they have a drink in the hand if it's finished or closed and based on appearance. The other day me and my friends( all teenagers) went into Tiger like we always do to have a little look at all of the stuff that they have, not even 5 seconds after we walked in the security guard tells my friend who has literally not even a sip left in her cup that they have to finish it before walking around the store even though it's nowhere near the merchandise ( bear in mind that dogs on a lead even if it's not a guide dog is allowed in there but not a drink) . They walk out to finish their drink and we over hear a woman telling the security guard how rude he has just been to her daughter. Security guard should be fired.
