Levante Restaurant (Lewisham)

My fav place for lamuchan and mint tea. Staff are so warm and welcoming.

Went today and had the aegean salmon - was delicious with the side salad and rice! Was a very nice treat!

This place is so lovely, the atmosphere makes me feel like back in turkey, I had the levante special for 1 and it is plenty of meat , the food was cooked perfectly , the service is also very good, I recommend this place for everyone

Hooo boy, has this place fallen far. Bad enough that the chicken shish is dry (how you can dry out shish is beyond me) but they've become the most miserly purveyors of Turkish food this side of Green Lanes. Takeaway is now just pebbly rice and the echt chicken - it turns out you now need to ask in advance for onions or peppers on the skewer. As for the bread, well, if you compared it to the tissue you'd have two pieces of either. Turkish food is about hospitality, about generosity, and it's supposed to reflect the great love of good food that Turkish people have. This is anything but, and it doesn't deserve to be associated with anything besides heat-and-eat fare from the petrol station. Such a disappointment to see one of the greats cheaping out
